undoing to be human
‍  unraveling human nature
    unlearning modern culture

this a space to rekindle your fire after burnout, without doing more by living circular, instead of linear.

for 20+ years I have researched social psychology, trauma, colonization, and systemic violence for many years and can tell you that if you are experiencing burnout, it is not at all your fault, but the fault of the system that is failing you.

this process involves what I call undoing, which is a conscious practice that starts with pause and rest before encompassing a more connected lifestyle.

you are not alone. this is a community of hope.

humans have always lived cyclical and connected until recently.

we have been around for about 250,000 years, but we only started planting things 10-12,000 years ago- so for about 240,000 years we lived as foragers in nomadic bands and tribes of 25-150 people.

forager cultures worked less hours, took naps, had more leisure time, less scarcity, more time in nature, and stronger community bonds and that was for the majority of the existence of our species. all this other stuff is completely new to our being.

I have realized times I have experienced burnout was because I had disconnected from the essence of being human.
